We already have Teams and SharePoint. Why add anything?
Teams and SharePoint each do one job well: conversation, or pages and files. On their own, SharePoint often stays underused. Do we need a separate app or license for this?

Do employees still need to log in separately?
No. Access runs through your existing Microsoft 365 account with single sign-on, so opening the intranet inside Teams doesn't add another password or login step.
Do employees need to leave Teams to use the intranet?
No. Company news, search and intranet resources are visible and usable from inside Teams itself, and browser access to your intranet still works too. Employees can use whichever fits them best.
Where does presence and profile data come from?
Presence is read directly from Microsoft Teams and shown in real time. Profile data comes from your own Microsoft 365 directory, so it stays accurate without manual upkeep.
Where does our data stay?
All data stays within your own Microsoft 365 tenant, fully secured within that environment. Users and permissions are managed through your own Entra ID.
