This intranet project was successfully delivered in collaboration with our partner in Sweden, Dizparc.
The client is a Swedish trading company specialized in supply chain solutions for C-parts. Founded in 1977 and grown through more than 50 acquisitions, the company today employs between 1,500 and 2,000 people worldwide (70% office staff, 30% production staff).
The organization is currently undergoing a strategic transformation, focusing on a unified business structure, global knowledge sharing, and strengthened digital capabilities.
Why switch to Involv Intranet?
With the end of Valo support in July 2025, the company needed a future-proof solution.
Among many alternatives, Involv stood out for its smooth, hassle-free transition process.
Among the available alternatives, Involv intranet proved to be the most logical choice. Because it – like Valo – is built on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 and follows the same architectural principles, the migration could be executed with high technical efficiency. Key elements such as content feeds and link web parts were seamlessly transferred. No loss of content. No loss of functionality.
However, the transition went beyond a technical replacement. Involv intranet offered additional capabilities to strengthen internal communication:
- A user-friendly platform for both intranet visitors and content creators.
- Newsletters, notifications and content subscriptions to keep teams connected and informed.
- Mobile accessibility for production employees via shared computers, mobile apps and digital signage.
- Onboarding tools for new employees.

Our Migration Approach
An intranet migration should not disrupt daily operations. That is why we chose an approach where the transition largely took place behind the scenes.
We first worked on the backend while keeping the frontend experience familiar for users. Visitors and content creators could continue working without interruption. Only once everything was technically ready did we execute a single controlled transition moment to Involv intranet.
This approach:
- Prevented disruptions during the migration
- Reduced the learning curve for users
- Maintained productivity throughout the process
- Minimized change management challenges

How We Approached This in Practice
1. Valo intranet scan
We began with a thorough analysis of the existing Valo intranet. We examined:
- Structure, number of sites and multilingual configurations
- Valo web parts to be replaced
- Functionalities that needed to be migrated, optimized or phased out
This resulted in a clear migration roadmap including timing, required resources and optimization opportunities.
2. Alignment with Business Needs
The primary objective was clear: retain full functionality before Valo support ended.
Together with stakeholders, we determined:
- Which components would be replaced one-to-one
- Where optimizations were possible
- How the intranet could evolve rather than simply be migrated
3. Configuring Involv Intranet
Good news for Valo users: virtually nothing changed in their daily experience.
- Content remained in the same place
- Links, names, and URLs were preserved
- The solution remained fully based on SharePoint and Microsoft 365
In addition, we implemented targeted improvements
1. Preserving the look & feel
We created customized templates aligned with the existing design. Colors, styles and navigation structure remained recognizable, ensuring users experienced no visual disruption.
2. Smarter content management
All existing content remained accessible. At the same time, a more centralized model for news and updates was introduced, giving departments greater autonomy over managing their own content.
3. Enhanced employee directory
The employee directory received a visual upgrade without any loss of functionality. Delve was replaced by the Involv intranet User Profile page, offering more personalization and flexibility.

Results
The objectives were clear: a seamless migration, preserved productivity and strengthened internal communication.
By choosing Involv intranet, the company achieved:
- A seamless transition without downtime or operational disruptions
- Full functionality via Involv equivalents for all Valo components
- A familiar user experience through preserved branding and navigation
- Improved accessibility for all employees, including production staff via mobile apps, Teams and digital signage

The transition was not merely a replacement of Valo, but a structural improvement in collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital maturity.
